This is an E-Ink display module, 4.2inch, 400x300 resolution, with embedded controller, communicating via SPI interface.

Due to the advantages like ultra low power consumption, wide viewing angle, clear display without electricity, it is an ideal choice for applications such as shelf label, industrial instrument, and so on.

Display am ESP8266

Betreibe das Display an einem ESP8266 (Nodemcu) und der Library GxEPD_SPI.
Damit funktioniert das Display so wie erwartet.
Sinnvoll sind auch die Anschlusskabel für den ersten Test.
Das beschriebene Handbuch und den Code findet man im Link beim Hersteller Waveshare.
Alles in allem ein Ordentliches Display für Stromsparende Projekte.

Nutze das Display via SPI an einem ESP 32 Board, das über ESP Home geflasht ist, um Homeassistant Sensorwerte anzuzeigen. Klappt super. Leider keine Graustufen, aber das liegt an ESP Home.
