The Mega 2560 is a microcontroller board on the ATmega2560. It features 54 digital input/output pins (15 of which are used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs, a 16 MHz quartz oscillator, a USB port, a power, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything you need to support the microcontroller; just plug it into a computer with a USB cable or turn it on with an AC-DC adapter or battery to get started. The Mega is compatible with most shields designed for the Duemilanove or Diecimila.
The Mega2560 differs from all previous disks in that it does not use the FTDI USB-to-serial driver chip. Instead, it offers the ATmega16U2 programmed as a USB serial converter.
Reversion History: Since June 1, 2024, the printed circuit board of this product will change from black to blue/white. All features remain unchanged.
