Hervorrragend dokumentiert, herrlich einfach anzubinden.

Das Produkt ist ganz hervorragend im angeführten Wiki dokumentiert. Somit hat das Setup am RPi 3 problemlos funktioniert.
Ein Aktualisierungsintervall dauert ca 5-6 Sekunden; das Verändern des Bildschirminhaltes selber benötigt davon aber nur ca 2 Sekunden, die restlichen 4 Sekunden sind sozusagen Vorlaufzeit.

Ich selber verwende das Display, um Temperaturen, etc. aus FHEM anzuzeigen und aktualisiere den Bildschirm nur dann, wenn sich auch Werte verändern. (FHEM aktualisiert den Bildschirm nicht direkt, sondern ich lese die Werte in einem Shell-Script aus und rufe dann bei Veränderung das mitgelieferte Python script zum Aktualisieren auf)
Für diesen Zweck ist das Teil ideal, Preis-Leistung bewegen sich im Absolut verträglichen Rahmen.

Und als Bastler kann ich es nur nochmal ansprechen: die Doku ist vorbildlich.
Das einzige Manko ist, dass der Bildschirm partielle Aktualisierungen nicht beherrscht, damit kann ich aber gut leben.

Klasse Display

Das Display ist sehr gut, wenn man mit einem Refresh von 8 Sekunden leben kann.
Partielle Aktualisierungen sind nicht möglich somit muss man immer den kompletten Inhalt übertragen. Ich betreibe es an einem RPI Zero W ohne Probleme und programmiere es mit WiringPi.
