Product Description

Feetech STS3215 360° Magnetic Encoder Servo for SO-ARM101

Product Description

The Feetech STS3215 is a high-precision 360-degree servo with a magnetic absolute encoder. Designed for integration into SO-ARM101 robotic arms, it enables continuous rotation with stable feedback over the entire range.

Thanks to the built-in magnetic encoder, the servo can provide precise position data without dead zones, making it particularly suitable for applications in automation, robotics, and mechatronics. The full metal gear ensures high durability and stability in industrial use. It is supported by a PWM control signal, allowing precise control of movement.

Advanced Features

The Feetech STS3215 is based on a high-quality 1:147 metal gear and is equipped with a magnetic encoder that enables 360° absolute position control with high precision (12-bit, 0.088° resolution). The servo offers extensive electronic protection mechanisms as well as an open PID structure for professional applications.

Special Features

High-precision control: 360° absolute position with up to 4096 resolution steps; ideal for precise motion control in robotics.
Four operating modes: Position (Mode 0), Closed-loop speed control (Mode 1), Open-loop speed control (Mode 2), Step mode (Mode 3).
Multi-turn mode: Absolute position control over ±7 turns without energy storage between cycles.
One-click calibration: Freely positionable mounting with digital center position detection (e.g., entering 128 as a command sets center = 2048).
Communication: TTL level, half-duplex asynchronous, supports synchronous read/write commands via serial bus interface.

Protection Functions

Overload protection: Detects blockages when approaching the target angle and relieves after 2s at 20% load standard.
Overcurrent protection: Responds to exceeded current limit with immediate torque drop.
Overvoltage protection: Warning for voltage values above the defined limit.
Overheat protection: Alarm for temperature exceeding the servo's limit.

Diverse Feedback System

Load feedback: PWM ratio for load control, 1000 = 100%
Current feedback: 1 unit = 6.5 mA
Voltage feedback: 70 = 7.0 V (scaling 0.1V)
Temperature feedback: Real-time measurement of internal temperature
Speed feedback: Steps per second (e.g., 50 steps/s = 0.732 RPM)

Custom Options

Feetech offers customized servo solutions, including logo branding, cable lengths and colors, connector types (JR, JST, XH), gear output shapes (e.g., 25T spline, hexagon), and housing modifications. As an experienced manufacturer since 2011, Feetech supports OEM and development projects according to customer requirements.
