Product Description
The Feetech STS3215 is a high-precision 360-degree servo with a magnetic absolute encoder. Designed for integration into SO-ARM101 robotic arms, it enables continuous rotation with stable feedback over the entire range.
Thanks to the built-in magnetic encoder, the servo can provide precise position data without dead zones, making it particularly suitable for applications in automation, robotics, and mechatronics. The full metal gear ensures high durability and stability in industrial use. It is supported by a PWM control signal, allowing precise control of movement.

Advanced Control Functions
- Smooth Start & Stop: Speed and acceleration are individually adjustable – for smooth motion transitions.
- High Position Accuracy: 4096 steps per 360°, i.e., a resolution of 0.088°. Example: 90° = 1024 steps, 180° = 2048 steps.
Four Operating Modes
- Mode 0 – Position Mode (Standard): Absolute position control over 360°, supports smooth movements with acceleration control.
- Mode 1 – Closed Loop Speed Control: Speed is controlled by software. Ideal for uniform motion sequences.
- Mode 2 – Open Loop Speed Mode: Speed programmable via time control. Good for simple motion cycles.
- Mode 3 – Incremental Mode: Movement occurs incrementally to the next target position. Movement can be continued through repeated commands.
Multi-Turn Mode & Calibration
- Multi-Turn Operation: Absolute position control up to ±7 turns with feedback. Position is retained on restart (no turn counting).
- One-Click Calibration: With a single command, the current position can be set as the midpoint (2048).
Communication & Control
- TTL-Level Communication: Half-duplex, asynchronous. Bus protocol supports parameter adjustment and synchronous reading of multiple servos.
Integrated Protection Mechanisms
- Overload Protection: Detects obstacles during movement. If a blockage is detected, the servo stops after 2 seconds (default at 20% load limit) until the next command.
- Overcurrent Protection: If the current exceeds the set limit, the torque is disabled.
- Overvoltage Protection: A warning is issued if the supply voltage is exceeded.
- Overheating Protection: Monitors motor temperature with an alarm function when the threshold is exceeded.
Versatile Feedback Parameters
- Load Feedback: PWM load to represent current torque (0–1000 = 0–100%).
- Current Feedback: Real-time current consumption (1 = 6.5 mA).
- Voltage Feedback: Operating voltage in 0.1 V increments (e.g., 70 = 7.0 V).
