Product Description

The DFRobot OpenMV Cam WiFi Shield is a compact WiFi IoT module that adds wireless network connectivity to OpenMV Cam vision systems. The OpenMV Cam WiFi Shield variant connects directly to the OpenMV Cam and links the camera to embedded WiFi and IoT applications through an SPI interface. This allows a standalone machine-vision platform to be converted into a connected imaging system for data transfer, remote monitoring, and cloud communication.

The board is built around the FCC-certified ATWINC1500 WiFi module and supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n wireless networking. According to the source data, wireless transfer rates of up to 48 Mbps are supported.
