The DFRobot WT8266-S1 WiFi IoT module based on ESP8266 is a compact embedded wireless module for adding Wi‑Fi connectivity to connected electronics. The WT8266-S1 WiFi Module based on ESP8266 integrates a Tensilica L106 32-bit processor and a complete TCP/IP stack, allowing external controllers to access wireless networks with reduced firmware overhead. Integrated RF circuitry and the onboard PCB antenna help simplify hardware design.
The module is intended for space-constrained designs such as controllers, gateways, and IoT end devices. It supports STA, AP, and STA+AP operating modes for different network architectures. Low-power operation in sleep mode and fast wake-up behavior make it suitable for energy-efficient and battery-powered embedded systems.
