The DFRobot Gravity: MEMS Gas Sensor (CO, Alcohol, NO2 & NH3) - I2C - MiCS-4514 is a compact gas sensor module based on the MiCS-4514 MEMS sensing element. The module operates from 3.3 to 5.5 V DC and provides measurement data via an I2C interface. According to the manufacturer, the accompanying code includes gas concentration conversion formulas to simplify sensor evaluation and integration.
The module supports detection of CO, ethanol (C2H5OH), H2, NO2, NH3, and CH4. Specified measurement ranges depend on the gas, from 0.05 to 10 ppm for NO2 up to more than 1000 ppm for CH4. With its digital I2C interface, the module is suitable for integration into microcontroller and single-board computer systems such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi based designs.
