This 10 cm (4″) long cable features six 28 AWG wires and 6-pin JST-SH female connectors on both ends. These connectors are compatible with the encoders of our Micro Metal Gearmotors and our 6-pin JST-SH breakout boards.

Note: We also offer a version of this cable with a standard wire color order (e.g., with the black wire on pin 1) that is not specifically color-coded for Micro Metal Gearmotor encoders.

Product Description

Overview

This cable is designed to work with the encoders of our Micro Metal gearmotors, which are also available separately with top-entry and side-entry connectors. It consists of six twisted, color-coded 28 AWG wires terminated at both ends with female JST SH connectors.

You can use the cable to connect an encoder to our JST SH-Style Connector Breakout Board (available in top-entry and side-entry versions), allowing you to easily access the motor and encoder pins on a standard solderless breadboard. Alternatively, a cable with two connector breakout boards could serve as a removable general-purpose connection between different parts of a modular system.

Using with Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders

When used with our encoders, the color scheme of the wires is as follows:
