The DFRobot Bluetooth 2.0 Serial Communication Module V3 is a compact Bluetooth serial module for transparent wireless UART communication. It is based on the CSR BC417143 chipset and supports Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR together with the Serial Port Profile (SPP). This allows the module to function as a wireless replacement for a serial cable between microcontrollers, embedded systems, computers, and compatible mobile devices.
The hardware uses a dual-board structure that improves mechanical robustness and helps reduce the risk of electrostatic damage during handling and integration. An onboard integrated antenna simplifies installation because no external RF component is required. With a wide supply input range of 3.5 to 8 V and an additional dedicated 3.3 V supply option, the module can be integrated into different controller and development platforms.
Configuration is supported through hardware switches and AT commands. Parameters such as baud rate and master/slave role can be adjusted for application-specific communication setups. STATE and LINK LEDs provide direct visual indication of operating and pairing status, which simplifies commissioning and troubleshooting in development environments.
