This is a telecommunication HAT for Raspberry Pi which supports global bands of NB-IoT, Cat-M, and GPRS, as well as GNSS positioning function. Due to its advantages like small size, low delay, and wide coverage, it is the ideal choice for IoT applications such as intelligent instruments, asset tracking, remote monitoring, e-health, and so on.

Compared to SIM7080G, this module also supports GPRS(2G); compared to SIM7000C/E, it is more generic due to the global bands support.

Eingeschränkte GNSS Funktionalität

Das Modul macht, was es soll, aber GNSS kann nicht gleichzeitig mit einer LTE-Verbindung genutzt werden (GNSS funktioniert dann, aber die Kommunikation über LTE nicht mehr).
Das sollte in der Beschreibung aufgenommen werden.

Preis/Leistung ist unschlagbar. Ein SIM7600 Modul ist wesentlich teurer. Wer nicht auf GNSS angewiesen, ist mit diesem Modul gut bedient.
Wenn es für die Anwendung ausreicht, z.B. jede Minute die Position zu holen, kann GPS nach der Positionsbestimmung wieder deaktiviert werden und man hat dann auch wieder die LTE-Verbindung.
MQTT muss man nicht neu verbinden, um dann wieder Nachrichten zu empfangen, oder senden zu können.
