Product Description

The DFRobot Fermion: MAX30102 PPG Heart Rate and Oximeter Sensor V2.0 is a compact pulse oximeter sensor module for optical measurement of heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. It is based on the Maxim MAX30102 and also integrates an onboard microcontroller that processes the raw optical signals internally. As a result, calculated values are available directly without requiring complex signal processing on the host controller.

The module uses PPG (photoplethysmography) technology for biometric sensing and is suitable for portable health devices, wearables, and embedded prototypes. Support for both I2C and UART enables integration with different microcontroller and single-board computer platforms. Direct output of processed data simplifies commissioning, testing, and system integration.
