The DFRobot Gravity: TCS34725 RGB Color Sensor for Arduino is a compact color sensor module for digital color measurement via the I2C bus. The module is built around the TCS34725 sensor IC, which optically detects ambient color and outputs digital red, green, and blue values. This makes it suitable for applications where colors need to be detected, compared, or processed further by a controller.

The TCS34725 provides high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, and an integrated IR blocking filter. These characteristics help improve measurement consistency under varying lighting conditions. The module also integrates four bright LEDs, allowing operation without a separate external light source in many setups. For system integration, the board provides both a PH2.0-4P interface and XH2.54 connections, supporting cable-based and breadboard-oriented prototyping scenarios.
