Product Description

The DFRobot Fermion: Compact 9DOF IMU Sensor for Motion & Heading Integration is a compact IMU/AHRS sensor for motion and heading measurement in embedded systems. The module combines the Bosch BMI323 6-axis accelerometer and gyroscope with the Bosch BMM350 3-axis magnetometer. This provides acceleration, angular velocity, and magnetic field data on a 24 × 19 mm board for sensor-based orientation and motion analysis.

The module interfaces through I2C for straightforward integration into microcontroller-based designs. The BMI323 supports acceleration ranges from ±2 g to ±16 g and output data rates up to 6400 Hz. The BMM350 adds magnetic sensing with output rates up to 400 Hz. Operating modes including Sleep, Low Power, Normal, and High Performance allow adaptation to power and sampling requirements. Specified current consumption is 0.92 mA in operation and 0.37 mA in low-power mode.
