Product Description

The DFRobot Gravity: I2C LIS2DW12 Triple Axis Accelerometer Sensor (±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g) is an accelerometer module based on the LIS2DW12 for three-axis linear acceleration measurement. The module provides an I2C interface and supports selectable full-scale ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g. Output data rates are configurable from 1.6 Hz to 1600 Hz.

According to the source data, the sensor is designed for low-power operation, drawing 8 to 10 µA in low-power and low-noise mode and 0.12 mA in high-performance mode. The LIS2DW12 also integrates two independently programmable interrupts and an internal detection engine for motion and orientation events including free-fall, portrait/landscape detection, 6D/4D orientation detection, single/double-tap recognition, stationary/motion detection, and wake-up functions. The module operates from 3.3 V to 5 V, allowing integration with common 3.3 V and 5 V embedded platforms.
