Product Description

The DFRobot Gravity: BMM150 Triple Axis Magnetometer Sensor is a compact magnetometer sensor module based on the Bosch BMM150 for three-axis geomagnetic field measurement. It is intended for compass and orientation functions and communicates via an I2C interface. The module supports a 3.3 V to 5 V supply range, allowing direct integration into many microcontroller and embedded platforms.

The sensor measures magnetic fields within a range of ±1300 µT on the X and Y axes and ±2047 µT on the Z axis. Resolution is specified as 0.3 µT, with noise in the range of 0.3 to 1.4 µT. A 2-bit DIP switch is provided for I2C address configuration, enabling up to four selectable addresses for multi-sensor systems. With a 3 ms startup time and 1.7 mA operating current at 10 Hz, the module is suitable for low-power orientation and navigation designs.
