Chip on board (COB) is a method of circuit board manufacturing in which the integrated circuits are wired, bonded directly to a printed circuit board, and covered by a blob of epoxy. By eliminating the packaging of individual semiconductor devices, the completed product can be more compact, lighter, and less costly.

COB LED Strip Light is built to produce a smooth, seamless line of light and withstand wet locations. Chip-on-board technology has a higher density of LEDs, for a more intense, uniform light that reduces heat buildup. The superior design will not show visible dots or hot spots, making it ideal for reflective surfaces such as granite countertops and tile floors. With no need for additional diffusers, the low profile strip can illuminate more narrow applications.
