Product Description

Overview:

These tiny 5050 (5mm x 5mm) SMD LEDs are relatively easy to solder and represent the most compact way to integrate multiple bright LEDs into a design.

These 5050-sized LEDs come with an embedded microcontroller inside the LED. You can adjust the brightness of each R/G/B/W. Each LED acts like a shift register, reading the incoming data on the input pins and then shifting out the previous data on the output pins. By sending a long string of data you can control an infinite number of LEDs, simply pin more or end up turning off unwanted LEDs. PWM is built into each LED chip so once you've adjusted the brightness you can stop talking to the strip and it will continue to PWM all the LEDs for you.
