The Gravity: 8x8 Matrix ToF 3D Distance Sensor (I2C&UART, 3.5m Range, 60° FOV) SEN0628 from DFRobot is a time-of-flight distance sensor module for short- to mid-range 3D depth sensing. It outputs a real-time 8×8 measurement matrix with 64 distance points, providing broader spatial information than a single-point ranging sensor. With a 60° field of view and a maximum detection range of up to 3.5 m, the module is suitable for applications that need to distinguish obstacles, open paths, or edges in space.

Signal processing is handled on the module, which reduces integration effort for microcontroller and single-board computer platforms. The module supports both I2C and UART communication and is designed for use within the Gravity ecosystem. This makes it suitable for prototyping as well as compact embedded systems with limited processing resources.
