Product Description

The DFRobot Fermion: VL53L3CX ToF Distance Ranging Sensor (25-3000mm) (Breakout) SEN0378 is a compact time-of-flight distance sensor module for non-contact ranging from 25 to 3000 mm. It is built around the STMicroelectronics VL53L3CX sensor IC with third-generation FlightSense technology and is intended for applications that require a digital distance output via an I2C interface.

The module operates from a 3.3 to 5 V supply, uses the default I2C address 0x29, and provides a 25° field of view. According to the supplier data, the sensor offers improved detection accuracy, automatic smudge correction, and glass cross-talk immunity. With the appropriate algorithms, the VL53L3CX can also detect different objects within the field of view with depth awareness. Due to the size of the algorithm files, the product has been verified by the supplier on M0 and ESP32 platforms.
