Product Description

The DFRobot Gravity: UART Fiber Optic Transceiver Module TEL0153 is a serial fiber optic transceiver module for UART-based data transmission over optical fiber. The Gravity: UART Fiber Optic Transceiver Module variant is intended for applications requiring long communication distance, galvanic isolation, and improved immunity to electromagnetic interference.

The module supports baud rates up to 2,000,000 bps across communication distances up to 10 km. Complete electrical isolation helps reduce interference between connected systems. The module also includes lightning protection and can be installed in cable routing shared with strong power wiring. According to the supplier information, it can also be used with a passive optical splitter to implement one-to-many star network topologies.
