Product Description

The DFRobot Gravity: CAN to TTL Communication Module with SLCAN Protocol is a CAN bus interface module for bridging CAN, UART, and USB 1.0 communication. It is designed for use with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic systems and supports CAN 2.0 communication. Control is handled through the SLCAN protocol and AT commands, allowing access to core CAN functions without requiring direct implementation of a full CAN protocol stack.

In addition to the UART interface, the module integrates a USB interface for direct connection to a computer, avoiding the need for an external USB-to-UART converter during debugging. According to the supplier data, the CAN baud rate is configurable from 25 kbps to 1 Mbps. The module supports up to 500 data packets per second with a minimum transmission interval of 2 ms. It also includes communication status indicators and a jumper-selectable 120 ohm termination resistor for CAN bus integration.
