The DFRobot Fermion: MCP9808 High Accuracy Temperature Sensor (Breakout, I2C) is a compact temperature sensor module for precise digital temperature measurement in embedded, industrial, and monitoring systems. It integrates Microchip's MCP9808 sensor and uses an I2C interface, making it suitable for microcontroller platforms, data loggers, and distributed sensor networks.

The measurement range of -40 to +125 °C supports use in refrigeration, electronics thermal monitoring, environmental measurement, and general industrial equipment. According to the source data, the module provides typical accuracy of ±0.25 °C and a maximum error of ±0.5 °C across much of the operating range. Selectable measurement resolution down to 0.0625 °C allows detection of small temperature changes and supports fine-grained control and monitoring algorithms.
