Product Description

The DFRobot Fermion: BME680 Environmental Sensor (Breakout) is a temperature humidity sensor module based on the Bosch BME680, with additional barometric pressure and VOC sensing functions. This 4-in-1 MEMS environmental sensor is intended for compact air quality and environmental monitoring designs. The breakout format with 2.54 mm pin pitch and separate SPI connections supports integration into prototypes, embedded systems, and IoT nodes.

The module supports both I2C and SPI communication. According to the supplier data, I2C operation supports 3.3 V and 5 V systems, while non-I2C ports support 3.3 V operation. An onboard voltage regulator IC and I2C level translation circuitry simplify interfacing with a range of microcontroller platforms. In addition to temperature and relative humidity, the sensor provides barometric pressure data and an IAQ-related VOC reading for indoor air monitoring applications.
